American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB)

It has started its journey in 1994, and had been in top 5 since then. At present, there are approximately 10,500 students studying in this university. Vice Chancellor of AIUB is Carmen Z. Lamagna who is a foreign national. There are four departments- Engineering, Science and Information Technology, Business Administration, and Arts and Social Science. Under these four departments, 19 undergraduate programs and 15 graduate programs are offered. AIUB has a rich and diverse Lab facility which really intensifies the understanding of students. It has 19 clubs in total, which provide students to flourish their merit besides academic achievements. AIUB has collaborations with universities from US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Philippines, Switzerland, and Thailand.

BRAC University

One of the most eminent institutions, BRACU started its journey in 2001. Sir Fazle Hasan Abed holds the position of head of the board of trustees. BRACU is an initiative of BRAC NGO. Among all the private universities, it has the most diverse and highest number of courses offered. Different schools, centers, and institutes govern its large scale of programs. At present, BRACU offers 16 undergraduate programs, 19 postgraduate programs, and 8 PG diploma and certificate programs. It has hired highly qualified faculty members with overseas degrees, publications, researches, and recognition. Right now, it has nearly 7000 students with a number of foreign students from numerous countries. East West University

To start off with the motto “Excellence in Education”. EWU has started its journey in 1996. Former governor of Bangladesh Bank, prominent economist Dr. Muhammad Farashuddin is the founder and head of the board of trustees. It is a prominent university with approximately 6,500 students. EWU is well known for its quality education in cheaper cost among the private universities in Bangladesh. There are total ten undergraduate programs offered by EWU at present- Pharmacy, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, ECE, EEE, CSE, Applied Statistics, BBA, Economics, English, and Social Science. For postgraduate it offers 13 programs in relevant fields. EWU, like other renowned universities, have qualified faculty members holding PhD and PG doctoral degrees from overseas. North South University

North South University (NSU) is considered the best private university in Bangladesh. It had been established under the private university act (PUA) in 1992. This university has a vision of amalgamation of students, scholars, researchers, and scientists from around the world. It follows the American system of higher education.
